Algorithmic Biology
This project explores the potential of biologically inspired algorithms for the development of generative and interactive art. The project looks at how natural processes can be re-imagined as artistic tools, exploring how they can be used to create dynamic complexities and beauty within a multimedia system. The project aimed to explore concepts which relate to both generative art and biology, such as emergence, complex systems, agency, autonomy and generativity. It highlights the harmony that can exist in art between nature and a rapidly changing world of technology.
The installation features 3D rendered generative artwork, motion tracking, AR techniques and a spatial soundscape. Elements of the audio are generated directly from the visuals, creating a connected and immersive experience. This installation was the resulting development from research for my University undergrad final year thesis.

Éalú's Eye
The 'Éalú's Eye' was built as a centrepiece for the Éalú Le Grá main stage for the 2023 edition of Éalú, and 2023 edition of All Together Now. The Iris consisted of multiple audio-reactive generative visuals, which changed on each night of the festival. The Eye pulsed with the music, while scanning and watching the dancers. The natural, sharp movement of the large eye gave a sense of overseeing and enlightenment, absorbed from the energy of the dancers.
Limerick Noise Collective
Limerick Noise Collective ran a small improvised gig in Spacecraft Studios. All the electronic music was played live with digital and analog hardware only, and both the music and visuals were improvised live with no collective planning or rehearsal. All visuals were generative, with many taking in live camera feeds, and/or being audioreactive. The visuals were programmed in TouchDesigner with scripts being edited or created live throughout the performance. The musicians were Paddy Mulcahy, Brawni, and Chaz Moloney, with the visuals performed by Tomás Moran. The performance was 2.5 hours in total.
The Wizard’s Hat
The Wizard’s Hat is a 15ft Audiovisual Sculpture made for Éalú Le Grá 2022. Situated by the river, the space surrounding the wizards hat was designed to act as a relaxing and social haven within the festival. The interactive Sculpture features programmed generative audio and lighting. Featured at ELG22,ELG23,ATN23

Gamma
Gamma is a music video developed with various pointcloud techniques. Pointcloud content was recorded live, with real time effects. The clips were then hard cut to original music.
Svea_
Svea_ is an event collective working on the next generation of music and arts events ~ Creating Immersive Atmospheres through Space, Music and Visual Arts. Set up in 2022 with 4 Audiovisual events ran to date.
Éalú Le Grá 2022 & 2023
Éalú Le Grá is a music and arts festival experience in the west of Ireland celebrating art, music, food, creativity, and the undulating nature of this wonderful life. Éalú’s mission is to bring the community together through love, dance, and wholesome shared experiences.
In 2022 I was heavily involved in the creation and setup of the festival and also developed art installations such as ‘The Wizard’s Hat’ and various largescale projection mapped generative artwork.
Flight in Motion
Flight in Motion was an interactive art installation commisioned for Westival 2021. The installation featured four different interactive artworks powered by generative digital art, motion capture and projection mapping. The main piece featured an interactive projection of butterflies, where the audience could colour in a butterfly and then have it fly around the room. The audience could then interact with the butterflies through their movement.
